Privacy Policy for PollManager Mobile Application
This privacy policy governs your use of the software applications (“Applications”) for mobile devices hosted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Kerala State Centre on Google Play. The Applications mainly provide eGovernance Services delivery and intend to provide better citizen services by the government. The contents published on these Applications are provided by the State Election Commission, Government of Kerala.
The information provided through these applications may not have any legal sanctity and are for general reference only, unless otherwise specified. However, every effort has been made to provide accurate and reliable information. Users are advised to verify the correctness of the facts from the concerned authorities. Neither NIC nor the State Election Commission and its allied establishments will be responsible for the accuracy or correctness of the contents available in these applications.
User Provided Information
Registration is mandatory. The Applications may obtain the information you provide during registration. When you register and use the Application, you generally provide:
- Name
- Mobile Number
- Other contact details
The information you provide may be used to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information and required notices.
Automatically Collected Information
The Application may collect certain information automatically, including (but not limited to):
- Type of mobile device used
- Device unique ID
- IP address of your mobile device
- Mobile operating system
- Type of mobile Internet browser
- Usage information about how you use the Application
The application may also use GPS technology (or similar) to determine your current location in order to show relevant location-based information or maps. Location data may be shared with authorities for policy or operational purposes.
If you do not want the app to use your location, you can disable location services from your mobile settings. However, certain features may not function properly if GPS is disabled.
Disclosure of Information
We may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.
- When disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud or respond to government requests.
- With trusted service providers working on our behalf, who adhere to this privacy policy.
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall process available on your device or app marketplace.
Data Retention Policy
We will retain user-provided data as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Automatically collected information may be stored in aggregate for analytical purposes. Some or all user-provided data may be required for the Application to function properly.
Misuse by Non-Targeted Users
The mobile application is intended for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by the device owner.
Security
We are committed to safeguarding your information. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are in place to protect data. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who require the data to operate or improve the Application. However, please note that no system can guarantee complete security.
Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated policy here. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

By using the Application, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended in the future.
